1. Issuer and scope

Studio Office gift cards are issued by Takis Charalambous & Co Ltd, trading as Studio Office. These conditions apply alongside our Terms & Conditions and do not remove mandatory consumer rights.

The value, recipient details and delivery information for a gift card are stated when it is purchased. Please check the recipient email address carefully before completing the purchase. Contact info@takis.com promptly about a delivery error.

2. Where the gift card can be used

Gift cards purchased for the Studio Office e-shop can be redeemed against eligible purchases at shop.studiooffice.com. They are not redeemable in our physical showrooms unless we expressly agree otherwise before the relevant purchase.

A gift card cannot be used to buy another gift card, exchanged for cash in ordinary use, or resold for value without our permission. These restrictions do not prevent a refund or other remedy required by law.

One gift card may be used per order unless the checkout expressly offers a different arrangement. Products remain subject to availability and the ordinary order terms.

3. Validity and balance

A purchased gift card is valid for 12 months from its purchase date, unless a longer period is stated when it is issued or mandatory law requires different treatment. Use it within the period stated for the card. We do not shorten that period retrospectively.

You can use part of the balance and retain the remainder for another eligible purchase during its validity. If an order exceeds the available balance, pay the difference using another payment method offered at checkout. No change is paid in cash for an ordinary part-redemption.

Contact us to check a balance or resolve an apparent redemption error. A technical error does not justify taking payment twice or refusing valid value without investigation.

4. Cancelling an unused gift-card purchase

For a gift card purchased remotely by a consumer, Studio Office provides a 14-day cancellation period from conclusion of the gift-card purchase contract for an unused, unredeemed gift card. Notify us at info@takis.com or send another clear cancellation statement identifying the purchase.

We deactivate the cancelled card and refund the amount paid without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving the cancellation notice, using the original payment method unless a different method is expressly agreed without a refund fee.

This unused-card cancellation provision is our stated policy; it does not restrict any mandatory withdrawal right, extension or other remedy that applies. Delivery of a gift-card code by email is not treated, by itself, as your agreement to waive a statutory right. After a card has been used, there is no additional voluntary cancellation right under this section, but applicable statutory rights remain available.

5. Returning goods paid for with a gift card

Goods bought using a gift card are subject to the same applicable withdrawal and conformity rules as other goods. Paying by gift card does not remove those rights.

Where a refund is due, the part of the purchase paid from gift-card value is restored to gift-card value, and the part paid by another payment method is refunded through that method, unless another lawful arrangement is expressly agreed. A card-funded amount is not automatically converted into gift credit.

Restored gift-card value will not be made unusable merely because time was spent processing a lawful return. A replacement or restored balance will retain at least the remaining validity at the date of the return notice and, where that would leave less than 30 days, will be usable for at least 30 days from restoration. More favourable mandatory rights remain unaffected.

Any refund allocation for a partial return is explained using the original payment split and the applicable order details; we do not use an arbitrary allocation to avoid refunding a monetary payment when required.

6. Lost, stolen or misused codes

Treat a gift-card code as payment information and share it only with the intended recipient. Contact us promptly if it is lost, sent to the wrong person or appears to have been used without permission.

Where the purchase and remaining balance can reasonably be verified, we will investigate whether the unused balance can be blocked and reissued. We do not promise recovery of value already lawfully redeemed, but we also do not exclude responsibility for our own error or any remedy required by law.

We may temporarily restrict a card where there is a reasonable, evidenced security or fraud concern. We will not permanently confiscate genuine paid value without a lawful basis.

7. Promotional vouchers and separate offers

A free promotional voucher is not necessarily the same as a purchased gift card. Its stated offer conditions apply, subject to mandatory law. A change to a promotional scheme does not retrospectively remove paid gift-card value.

8. Changes, law and contact

The conditions supplied for the gift-card purchase apply to it, subject to mandatory law and any valid later agreement. Cyprus law governs these conditions without removing applicable mandatory protection in a consumer’s country of habitual residence or access to a competent court.
