A good office chair is built to last for many years. A few minutes of care every now and then keeps it clean, comfortable and working smoothly. Always check the care instructions that come with your chair first, as materials and finishes differ.
Mesh (as on the Herman Miller Aeron, Setu and many task chairs) collects dust in its weave. Vacuum it gently with a soft brush attachment. For marks, use a soft cloth with a little mild soap and water, then wipe with clean water and let it dry fully before sitting. Don’t use solvents, bleach or abrasive cleaners, and don’t soak the mesh.
Vacuum fabric regularly so dust doesn’t work into the fibres. Treat spills straight away: blot (don’t rub) with a clean, dry cloth, then spot-clean with a cleaner suitable for that fabric. Test any cleaner on a hidden area first. For stubborn stains, ask us before you try anything strong.
A soft, damp cloth is all most frames and bases need. Dry them afterwards. Avoid polishes and household sprays, which can leave a film or damage the finish.
Hair and fluff wrapped around the castors make a chair roll badly. Pull it out every month or so. Use castors suited to your floor: soft castors for hard floors such as tiles, wood or stone, and hard castors for carpet. A chair mat also protects delicate floors.
Something not working? Stop using the chair if it feels unsafe and contact us. Many quality chairs, including many Herman Miller models, carry a manufacturer’s warranty on top of your legal rights. See Εγγύηση και σέρβις for how to report a problem.

A chair that slowly lowers itself usually has a worn gas lift. Don’t try to take it apart: contact us and we’ll advise on repair or replacement.
A well-made chair that is looked after can serve you for many years, which is why quality brands back their chairs with long manufacturer warranties.
Contact us with the model and a photo of the issue. We’ll explain what’s covered and, if a paid repair or spare part is needed, the price and timing before you agree.
