Crate Lounge Chair is the low version, with a sloping back and seat and armrests. The Crate collection was designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934 to make use of surplus shipping crates and is relaunched by Rietveld Originals x HAY. It is made of solid pinewood with HAY's outdoor treatment, a primer plus a two-layer water-based lacquer, in five finishes. HAY's care guide recommends using it outdoors only, because the wood is dried for outdoor conditions.
Design: Gerrit Rietveld (Rietveld Originals x HAY)
