Crate Dining Chair has a gently sloping back and seat and supportive armrests. The Crate collection was designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934 to make use of surplus shipping crates and is relaunched by Rietveld Originals x HAY. It is made of solid pinewood with HAY's outdoor treatment, a primer plus a two-layer water-based lacquer, in five finishes. HAY's care guide recommends using it outdoors only, because the wood is dried for outdoor conditions.
