The Assemble Bench by Anderssen & Voll is made from broad planks of FSC-certified teak with softened edges and a fine seam between the boards that lets the wood move with the seasons. Teak is a durable hardwood suited to outdoor use; as a natural material it varies in colour and grain. Muuto advises wiping it with a damp cloth along the grain, cleaning the teak once or twice a year with an outdoor wood cleaner, and using a cover when it is not in use; left untreated, the teak weathers to a silver-grey patina, or clear outdoor oil keeps the warm tone.
