How to adjust your Embody

Sit down and work through the steps in this order. Controls marked If fitted depend on how your chair is configured.

1. 1

   Seat height

   Joystick inside the tilt tension knob, right side of the chair

   To raise the seat, angle the joystick fully and lift your weight off the chair. To lower it, angle the joystick fully while seated.

   Your feet should rest flat on the floor.

2. 2

   Seat depth If fitted

   Front handles on the right and left sides of the seat

   Lift your thighs off the front of the seat, gently lift both front handles to unlock the seat, slide it forward or back, then press the handles down to lock it.

   Leave about three fingers of space between the back of your knees and the seat edge.

3. 3

   Tilt tension

   Knob below the right side of the seat

   Turn the knob clockwise to increase the tension, or counterclockwise to decrease it.

   The tension sets how much resistance you feel when you lean back.

4. 4

   Tilt limiter If fitted

   Horizontal tab on the left side, behind the seat

   To engage, recline and move the tab up to set how far the chair reclines. To release, lean forward and flip the tab fully down.

   Use it when you want to sit upright or only partly reclined.

5. 5

   Arm height

   Button underneath each armpad

   Hold the arm while pressing the button under the armpad, pull it up or push it down to the height you want, then release the button to lock it.

   Your arms should rest on the armpads without lifting your shoulders.

6. 6

   Arm width

   Each armpad

   Place both hands on one armpad and pull it in or push it out. Repeat on the other side.

   Your elbows should be in line with your shoulders.

7. 7

   BackFit If fitted

   Knob on the right side, behind the seat

   For a flatter back, turn the knob clockwise to the full forward position, or slightly back from there. For a more curved back, turn it counterclockwise to rotate the backrest rearward.

   Set it so the backrest follows the curve of your whole back and your head sits balanced, in line with your screen.
