Herman Miller · Designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick
Aeron was designed for all types of bodies, after extensive research by its designers. Herman Miller has kept refining it ever since — today’s Aeron brings together everything learned about supporting people and their postures.
The 8Z Pellicle suspension in the seat and back distributes your weight more smartly, and the chair breathes as you sit.
Adjustable PostureFit SL support behind your lower back, for total spinal support.
A balanced recline and natural movement — the chair moves with you as you lean back.
Made to last: more than half of Aeron is recycled material, and since 2021 it also contains ocean-bound plastic.
The Herman Miller Aeron Chair – Size A in this configuration has a Black frame and Black Pellicle with a polished aluminium chassis and base — the deep black suspension against bright, reflective aluminium.
PostureFit SL back support uses two adjustable pads to support the sacrum and the lumbar area, so the spine keeps its natural curve when you sit back. The tilt limiter and seat angle controls let you recline freely or set a limit and tip the seat forward for focused work, and the fully adjustable arms move in height, pivot and depth, with vinyl armpads in Black (BK).
The 8Z Pellicle suspension in Black (23105) has eight zones of tension across seat and back, spreading pressure evenly and letting air pass through, and the 65 mm soft castors (C7) roll on both carpet and hard floors. Size A is the smallest of the three Aeron sizes.
